Making Peace With Your Body – Body as a Temple
A Workshop for Women
As we approach the new year, this 2-hour workshop invites you to honor your body as a Sacred temple—a vessel for your soul, worthy of respect, love, and care. Many of us have spent years being unkind to our bodies and our selves—criticizing, numbing with substances, neglecting sleep, or pushing too hard. This workshop provides an opportunity to begin making peace with our bodies by embracing the perspective of our bodies as Sacred spaces, deserving of nurturance and reverence.
Through Body Meditation (very slow, mindful movement inspired by Hanna Somatics), breath practices, reflective journaling, and Sacred sharing, we’ll explore what it means to view our bodies as temples. Using themes from Reclaiming Beauty by Heidi Andersen, we will reflect on how to build a compassionate relationship with our bodies and set intentions to nurture this connection in the new year.
To make this experience more personal and supportive, feel free to bring a childhood photo, a grounding stone or crystal, sacred items, a journal, your favorite pillow or blanket, a cozy stuffed animal, or anything else that adds to your comfort.
This workshop offers a gentle introduction to the upcoming 5-week immersion, Making Peace With Your Body: Journeying Back to Your Sacred Self, beginning on Thursday, January 9th, 2025. In a supportive and intimate group of 8 women, we will explore and question society’s standards of outer beauty versus inner beauty, challenge conventional views of productivity and success, and embrace the freedom to rest and restore without guilt.
I am honored to be walking this path with you! ❤️ Dana
